Ph.D./M.Phil./RA openings

I am actively looking for Ph.D./M.Phil./RA students starting in 2026 spring/fall. The major research topics are machine learning systems and data center resource disaggregation.

Ph.D. and M.Phil. students will be co-supervised by Prof. Pinjia He at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ). Pinjia He is an assistant professor and presidential young fellow at CUHK-SZ. His work focuses on software engineering, systems, and programming languages. His work has been published at the top venues, e.g., ICSE, FSE, ASE, ISSTA, ICLR, OSDI, etc.

The normative period for Ph.D. is 5 years, and 2 years for M.Phil. Students will frist stay at CUHK-SZ to finish their required courses and then come to DKU. Full time scholarship will be provided for PhD students, while M.Phil. students should be self-funded. Upon graduation, students will be awarded Ph.D./M.Phil. degrees at CUHK-SZ.

We welcome research assistants who are aspiring to apply to top Ph.D. programs worldwide, offering them valuable pre-doctoral research experience. You will be required to work with me in person at Duke Kunshan University for a minimum of six months. A competitive stipend will be provided.
